Rainy Friday Afternoon Loop

No major changes to the Bike Path as normal but is was a dark dreary and drizzly day.

I hit the Bike Path just after 2:00pm

This weather is for the Birds!

A slight improvement on the sand situation. Basically only the wind and wave action during high tide  has moved this sand. The numerous deep cracks and potholes doesn't help either....

Not a Day to Stroll on the Pier....

Wednesday Loop

No major changes to the bike path.The only thing I can report the a slight improvement on the Heavy Sand situation in Zone 6. It look like Hi-tide wave action has moved some of the sand over into the grass. Only to reveal deep cracks and potholes. I decided instead of showing pictures of potholes and cracks I'll show off the Beauty of the Path. Enjoy!

New Year, same old Bike Path...

Wonderfully crisp "Winter" afternoon on the bike path today.

2:00pm

Look at this! The 82nd Street Pothole has been repaired!

Fairly decent, look like it's going to hold up for a few years.

A few pits have emerged already. nothing major...

It look's good...

Great repair but there's still a problem...
Would it hurt to get a street sweeper up and down the bike path once in a while?

This is right by 82nd street.

Right by the pier.

Small debris like small branches bit's of glass and garbage are the main reasons Zones 1 and 2 get yellow ratings. But just a sweep once in a while would do the trick to get it perfect.

A perfect day to stroll the pier.

 

One more time over the 82nd Street repair. It was smooth.

The next set of pictures are of the worst areas of Zone's 7 and 6. For fun I took a tape measure out.
