June Report

I Hit the Path Just after 1:00pm....

A Perfect day to Ride!
Since there hasn't been anything to really report on other than trash, cracks and geese poop. So I decide to not post anything. But unfortunately I have some new "Hot Spots" to show you and some neglectful maintenance....

The Path may look "Great" in places,  but the menace of small glass and rocks debris still plagues the entire path.

So it looks like DOT or Park's Department came by and cut all the tall grass between the Highway and Bike Path, just one problem, they left all the trash and cut grass on the sides of the bike lane!

I took a few more pictures, but you get the idea. It's like this in Zones 1, 2 and 3.... Be careful.

Have two New Potholes to report on the first one is on 79th street. It's a small punch through that's going to be huge in about a month.

The Next one is just a bit down in front of Fort Hamilton High School (84th Street) It's very similar but a bit smaller...

Zone 6 is Still looking rough...

The smoothest spot in Zone 6 Thanks to Irene...
During my loop of the bike path I never saw anyone maintaining the path, but I did see a park's department van near the Bay Parkway end of the Bike Path....
2:32pm...

Three Workers inside reading newspapers and texting...

Rainy Friday Afternoon Loop

No major changes to the Bike Path as normal but is was a dark dreary and drizzly day.

I hit the Bike Path just after 2:00pm

This weather is for the Birds!

A slight improvement on the sand situation. Basically only the wind and wave action during high tide  has moved this sand. The numerous deep cracks and potholes doesn't help either....

Not a Day to Stroll on the Pier....
